We use the word “organization” rather than “Church” because we are not focused on the
theology of these organizations, only their conduct towards past, present, and future members.
* Damage to Relationships (e.g., Ostracization from family, Interference with
marriage, etc.)
* Private & Sensitive Information (e.g., Breach of privacy, Misuse of sensitive
information, etc.)
* Church Teachings/Culture (e.g., Ostracization, Abuse of power, etc.)
* Financial Misconduct (e.g., Misuse of Church funds, Coerced tithes, etc.)
Criminal Misconduct (e.g., Physical abuse, Psychological abuse, Coercive
control, etc.)
* Are the purposes of the organization charitable?
* Is the conduct of the organization against the public interest.
* Were you under 18 years of age when the incidents occurred?
* Were you a senior when the incidents occurred?
* Did you witness or experience any abuse of power within your Church?o Did you feel coerced or exploited by the Church or someone in the Church?
* Did you receive counseling from someone you felt was unqualified?
* An apology and acknowledgment of wrongdoing
* Resignation from office
* Financial compensation
* Changes to Church By-Laws to prevent a concentration of power
* Windup of the organization and distribution of assets to other charitable and
religious organizations
* Any other comments you would like us to know about
Whether or not groups or individuals take legal action themselves, the Samson Rising Team will report the anonymous results of the survey to prompt investigations by regulatory authorities, where there may have been breaches of specifical laws. These types of breaches do not require users of this site to take legal action. The regulators will fine the organisation if there have been breaches of those laws.
