Good Morning,
Samson Rising has obtained the following information in relation to potential financial corruption within the CFO.
We are very grateful for the assistance of the people who brought us this information. Frankly, everyone should be grateful to these people. Like so many others, they are prepared to take personal risks to bring information forward.
As always, let’s assume the report I’m about to give you is completely fictitious until it is confirmed or dispelled by an independent inquiry.
For legal reasons, we need to say:
‘Butcher’ is a senior leader of a CFO church and a committee member in a particular part of Australia.
‘White Sheep’ is an esteemed individual with significant moderating influence in the church.
‘Voldemort’ You can think of Voldemort as either one man or a small group of men who have an overwhelming control of the Committee in this part of Australia.
The report contains information about the large interest-free loans being given to the Presbytery.
These interest-free loans are funded using money that was tithed and offered to the CFO by congregants. In at least one case, the interest-free loan is as large as $500,000 for an individual.
You can find proof of these loans on this link below:
As shown in the financial statements, 8 individuals are in receipt of these loans.
The substance of the report is that the loans are not necessarily ever repaid to the church. Instead, these loans can be forgiven at the discretion of the Committee, controlled by Voldemort.
The statement suggests that the loans can be used as a control mechanism and may exceed what would be considered reasonable pay conditions. The report also says that no independent advice was taken to ensure the pay conditions of the Presbytery are in line with the pay conditions of comparable churches and community expectations.
We are told a transaction took place in 2021, which was approved by a management committee at the request and advice of Voldemort. This management committee is made up of CFO members only, and to the best knowledge of those providing the report, no independent advice was taken about the transaction.
The report says that Voldemort wanted White Sheep out of the way. This was because White Sheep was not obeying Voldemort’s instructions.
Over an extended period of time, Butcher undermined and gaslighted White Sheep in the Church Community. Eventually White Sheep was ousted completely.
The report says that at the time, Butcher had a circa $300,000 bank loan over his private residence.
And that as a “reward” for ousting White Sheep, Voldemort authorised Butcher’s home loan to be paid out by the Church.
That’s $300,000 of Tithe money disappearing in one go. $300,000 being used for private purposes. $300,000 of questionably excessive pay conditions amongst the Presbytery.
The statement also says that others that could have prevented this happening did nothing because they also had large interest-free loans from the church. If Voldemort chose to terminate their employment, as he did with White Sheep, the borrower could be caught in a position where they cannot repay. For instance, if a Committee member was of an age where a bank would not lend them money, that Committee member’s ability to act impartially could be compromised.
Accordingly, the report says the interest-free loans can become a control mechanism in themselves. They can be an enticement to a Committee member to vote in accordance with the wishes of the most dominant person or persons within the Committee.
As an interesting footnote to this report, Butcher would ingratiate himself to Voldemort by regularly giving Voldemort cases of expensive wine.
But of course, the wine was all paid for by the church. That’s what the ‘Hospitality’ allowance can be used for – private expenses of the Presbytery.
You can find details of the ‘Hospitality Allowance’ and other pay conditions of the presbytery on the following link. ($218,098 was spent on “hospitality” by the CFO in 2023).

If this report turns out to be true, it’s probably not necessary for me to list how many laws may have been broken, but here are some of them:
You can find the penalties for breaching these kinds of laws on the following link.

It is very important to note that all committee members can be held personally liable to people who paid their tithes in good faith. The law does not allow Committee members to plead ignorance.
You can read about this at the following link. Scroll down to where it says, ‘Can committee members be personally liable’.

Please support our call for an independent investigation by the ACNC into the governance of the CFO and its status as a ‘Charity’. We want an independent investigation to confirm or dispel the growing number of disturbing reports we are receiving.
If you agree there should be an investigation, you can sign a petition by using this link:
